The Museum

I went to the museum that day with my Visual Art group. We went to a museum where they ignite our five senses. they played with our eyes, hearing, our sense of smell, touch and taste.

ITS A STACK OF GLASS IN A DARK ROOM
The first exhibit was a dark room with only a long stack of glass which was accompanied by a dim light. I was amazed how their idea was actually successful because we could just knock it over in such a dark room.

The next exhibit for sight is the room filled with lasers. OOOOOHHHH, it was so cool. No matter where you walk the lasers will still be there. I spent the most of my time there playing with the lasers
.

The next room is the exhibition of our sense of smell. To be honest I don't really fancy this exhibit. Because I really do not like the smell of the perfumes. For this exercise, we are to hear a certain piece of soundtrack then are to smell the different aromas the artist can interpret from the soundtrack.

Following the trail, I came across a room which made me grow goosebumps. It started out like a normal tour around an artist work. I came across this pictures showing the different shades of reds. They had load of different shades which gradually changed to pink and transitioned into white. I then went further into the room and I saw this gruesome painting that was destroyed. I don't know if the artist wanted to created texture or that he wanted to show a gory painting but it was definitely scary. But what spooked me out the most was the last painting. It was literally large and long, sitting in the center of  HUMONGOUS room. Look at it! Need i say more?

I quickly got out of the room, scared and spooked on how art has such a deep meaning to it. Even artist could do such an art piece that I personally feel would be embedded into my memory for the rest of my life. The next exhibit is seriously my most favorite place to go. It is a room filled with pillows. the artist wants us to experience his piece ourselves so he allowed us to engage with it. We were allowed to play around, touch, lay down on the pillows. It was literally my most favorite place to be in that moment of time. I would come back to a place like this again, maybe to a different event. But if they were to reopen a similar exhibition, I would without a doubt go.

MY NEW SHOES

I was super happy I got to buy my shoes at such a deal. I also wondered if a guy designed this shoe because I just got to know that designers are mostly guys because when theu design, they design it for poeple, like what would they like to see on people.

I also went out to meet up with my group members on Thursday to start on our project. We had to create a story using pictures we took around school during class. I have to say, I truly enjoyed my day with them. Even though we knew each other for only three weeks, we bonded quite well and managed to finish the whole story bool within 6hours. We went to visit a group nember who was working that day at her workplace and it was really enlightening to see that she was willing to work while helping us out.

THESE WERE THE INTERESTING SCULPTURES WE CAME ACROSS

This week has been seriously hectic for me. I had so much fun with my friends and at the same time managed to catch up with my family members for raya. I also managed to see my cousin's pet cat which i missed  so much. I feel truly blessed that I am surrounded with loved ones who would'nt mind spending extra cash to eat at Eighteen Chefs just to bond.

SALAM EID MUBARRAK

So on the last day of puasa my family and I decided to visit Geylang. I went in the afternoon and there were a sea of people. It was hard to walk along the bazaar and shopping mall. I always ended up seperated from my parents so I decide to go shopping with my cousin instead. We were walking around to find a famous henna shop to get our henna done. I wanted dark red henna and I was rather picky because I want to follow the traditional way of apply henna. So there was this paticular shop my friend recommended and true enough, it was exactly what I wanted.

BRIGHT RED HENNA

The reason why I wanted to follow traditions is because traditions are being forgotten these days. I want to preserve these traditions as much as possible to pass it down to my children one day, like how my mum passes her's to me. The next morning came and it was Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It's an anual festival so the routine is always the same. The men head to the mosque to pray while the ladies of the house kept the house ready for visiters. After getting ready, we have to ask for forgiveness to the elders of the house. I was an emotional wreck when it came to asking for forgiveness. I never fail to cry whilr doing so. Afterthat we head to my grandmother's place.

I really LOVE my outfit this year because of the design. I got to pick what colour and style I want for me and my family. The detailed design of my outfit is my outmost favourite because it gives off a girly and flirty look.

UGH ASSIGNMENTS

Despite all the fun I had, there is school the next day. To be honest, I dread going school that day. I woke up late due to these sketches I had to do. I drew these with anger because I have to go school and had tp wait till Saturday to celebrate.

During Creative Thinking class, we were made to think of ideaa to a certain topic and my group picked "Break The Glass". I have to say I enjoyed that lesson to the max. We had creative drawings and silly ideas but we still cliqued and managed to get into an agreement.

We then went to Burger King for lunch and I have to say the Interior Design created a cafe feel evebthough we were in a fast food restaurant. So we just sit back and enjoy our meal.
